My Writing Style
So if there are any English/Japanese bilingual readers (and if you’re sticking with me, I imagine you will all become bilingual at some point), you will probably notice that the articles are not strict translations, so for all of you who are interested, I’m giving you a description of my writing style.
Basically, I first write the article in whichever language feels like the most obvious choice at the time. After that, I rewrite the article as best I can to fit my audience in the other language.
I do this so I can write more naturally to readers from different backgrounds.
RyanLayman.com does not currently have an editor. So the writing is all me. It can be challenging to write in both languages, but I enjoy the opportunity it brings. I also look forward to engaging in discussions from readers.
